AIRBAG CUT-OFF SWITCH > REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing (Click here).

NOTICE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work (Click here).



2. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD

  1. Disengage the 2 guides <A> as shown in the illustration.

  1. Disengage the 3 guides <B> and remove the rear No. 2 floor board.



3. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX
  1. Remove the rear deck floor box.



4. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD

  1. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the rear No. 3 floor board.



5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).



6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH

  1. Pull the instrument panel finish panel end RH in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 4 claws.

  1. Disengage the guide as shown in the illustration.

  1. w/o Airbag Cut Off Switch:

    1. Disengage the guide and remove the instrument panel finish panel end RH as shown in the illustration.

  1. w/ Airbag Cut Off Switch:

    1. Disengage the guide.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the instrument panel finish panel end RH as shown in the illustration.



7. REMOVE AIRBAG CUT-OFF SWITCH CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the airbag cut-off switch cylinder sub-assembly.
