HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY > REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL LH (for LHD)


2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH (for RHD)


3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for LHD)

HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side (Click here).



4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH (for RHD)

  1. Using a screwdriver, turn the pin 90 degrees and remove the pin hold clip.

  1. Remove the 10 clips and 4 screws.

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the grommet and the front fender liner RH.

    HINT:
    The grommet needs to be replaced with new one because it will break when it is removed.



5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  1. Disengage the 10 claws and remove the front door scuff plate LH.



6. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the clip.

  1. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH.



7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the screw <C>.

  1. Disengage the 6 claws and clip as shown in the illustration.

  1. Disengage the claw and 2 guides and disconnect the hood lock control cable.

  1. Disconnect each connector and clamp, and remove the lower instrument panel finish panel assembly.



8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.



9. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.



  1. Using a screwdriver, disengage each clamp shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment and remove it.



10. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  1. Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly.



  1. Using a screwdriver, disengage each clamp shown in the illustration.
