CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH > INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH

  1. Install the cruise control main switch with the 2 screws.

  1. Connect the connector.



2. INSTALL STEERING PAD
  1. Check that the power switch is off.

  1. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    CAUTION:
    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  1. Connect the airbag connector to the steering pad.

    NOTICE:
    When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

  1. Push in the lock to install the airbag connector.

  1. Connect the horn connector to the steering pad.

  1. Push the steering pad to engage the 2 pins.

    NOTICE:
    Make sure that the pins are securely inserted into the steering holes.



3. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER

  1. Engage the claw to install the lower No. 3 steering wheel cover.



4. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER

  1. Engage the claw to install the lower No. 2 steering wheel cover.



5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).



6. INSTALL REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD

  1. Engage the 2 guides to install the rear No. 3 floor board.



7. INSTALL REAR DECK FLOOR BOX
  1. Install the rear deck floor box.



8. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD

  1. Engage the 3 guides <A>.

  1. Engage the 2 guides <B> and install the rear No. 2 floor board as shown in the illustration.



9. INSPECT STEERING PAD

  1. Visually check for defects with the steering pad installed on the vehicle.

    1. The defects are as follows:

      1. Cuts on the surface and in the grooves of the steering pad
      2. Small cracks on the surface and in the grooves of the steering pad
      3. Significant discoloration on the surface and in the grooves of the steering pad

      OK:
      No defects are found.

      HINT:
      If any of the defects is found, replace the steering pad with a new one.

  1. Make sure that the horn sounds.

    HINT:
    If the horn does not sound, inspect the horn system (Click here).



10. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
  1. Inspect SRS warning light (Click here).
